Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A Analyst to support the Finance team in managing and analyzing large datasets for monthly MIS and business reporting.

This role is ideal for someone with 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment who is comfortable working with raw data, building structured reports, and generating insights that support business decision-making.

The incumbent will work closely with Finance, Business, and Operations teams to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monthly MIS & Reporting

• Assist in preparation of monthly MIS reports for leadership.

• Consolidate financial and operational data from multiple sources.

• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and consistency across reports.

• Support variance analysis (Actuals vs Budget vs Forecast).

2. Data Handling & Analytics

• Extract, clean, and structure large datasets for reporting and analysis.

• Automate recurring reports wherever possible.

• Identify trends, anomalies, and key performance drivers.

• Support dashboard development for management reporting.

3. FP&A Support

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting exercises.

• Support cost tracking, revenue tracking, and business performance analysis.

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for planning cycles.

• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by the Finance team.

4. Process Improvement

• Improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.

• Suggest data validation and control mechanisms.

• Standardize MIS formats and documentation processes.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High comfort working with large datasets

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency (mandatory)

• Experience with SQL / Power BI / Tableau / Python is a plus

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in an unstructured startup environment

• Good communication skills to explain numbers clearly

Qualification & Experience

• Experience: 2+ years in FP&A / MIS / Business Analytics / Data roles (startup exposure preferred)

• Academic Qualification: BE / B-Tech / Data Analytics

• MBA (Finance / Analytics) is a plus
