We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Associate to manage end-to-end payroll operations for
employees in India. This role requires accuracy, compliance knowledge, and collaboration with
HR, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll processing.
(IN-HOUSE PAYROLL PROCESSING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)
Key Responsibilities
● Process monthly end-to-end payroll for all employees in compliance with Indian statutory
requirements.
● Validate employee attendance, leave, overtime, and incentive data before payroll
processing.
● Manage inputs such as new joiners, exits, transfers, variable pay, and deductions.
● Reconcile salary registers, PF, ESI, LWF, and professional tax calculations.
● Prepare and file statutory returns (PF, PT, ESI, TDS) within timelines.
● Handle employee queries on salary, tax, and payslip-related issues.
● Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding, journal entries, and reconciliation.
● Maintain employee payroll records in HRMS with accuracy and confidentiality.
● Support annual tax computation, Form 16 generation, and statutory audits.
● Stay updated on changes in Indian labor laws, Income Tax Act, and compliance
requirements.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, HR, or related field.
● 2–4 years of payroll processing experience in India, preferably with mid-to-large
organizations.

● Strong knowledge of Indian statutory compliances: PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax (TDS).
● Experience with HRMS/payroll systems (e.g., Darwinbox, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
● Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation).
● Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and confidentiality.
● Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
● Prior experience in healthcare or technology companies.
● Knowledge of payroll-related analytics and reporting.
