As an Assistant Manager- Legal & Compliance at MediBuddy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to formulate and execute effective compliance strategies, policies, and protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a profound comprehension of healthcare regulations, an exceptional eye for detail, and the capacity to introduce, monitor and report compliance matters.
Roles and responsibilities
● Monitor, develop and execute a comprehensive compliance program that meets regulatory requirements, risk assessments, policies, and training initiatives.
● Develop, implement, and monitor effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls to align with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
● Review, draft and negotiate agreements, documents and manage the contractual risks.
● Leads discussions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deriving efficient and effective solutions to meet commercial objectives.
● Oversee MediBuddy services to detect and investigate potentially suspicious activities and report findings as required.
● Manage and enhance the labour law and consumer protection processes, ensuring robust due diligence and customer identification procedures.
● Stay abreast of changes in labour laws, National Medical Council regulators, consumer protection laws, legal metrology laws and regulations, compliance requirements, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
● Support fundraising activities, including investor relations, legal due diligence, and preparation of legal presentations.
● Assist and collaborate with cross functions for ESG related activities and reporting.
● Co-ordinate with counsels/law firms to manage litigations filed by/against the Company. Drafting & filing of written statements, affidavits and necessary documents to safeguard Company’s interest.
● Preparing monthly/quarterly presentations to provide regular departmental updates to the management
Education and Skillset
● Bachelor's degree in Law and related field;
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance management, with a strong emphasis on regulations, compliance monitoring and reporting.
● Contract negotiations and drafting.
● Proven track record of effectively leading and managing compliance activities.
● Thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations in the healthtech Industry is a plus.
● Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess complex regulatory issues and develop effective solutions.
